Mobile Dental Clinic | Haiti
We conducted several dental clinics, providing essential care to communities in need. These clinics served as vital hubs for delivering check-ups, cleanings, and basic treatments, ensuring that individuals had access to crucial dental services. Our commitment to oral health extended beyond treatment, as we engaged in educational sessions, empowering communities with knowledge about oral hygiene and preventive measures.
Fundraising cocktail | November 2023 | Montreal
Our primary objective was to raise funds specifically for 600 children. The focus was on organizing an event aimed at generating financial support to provide essential resources and services tailored to the unique needs of these children. The initiative aimed to secure the necessary funding to enhance their overall well-being, particularly in the context of oral health and education.
Dan-A-Nou's Presentation: Breaking Barriers for Inclusive Dental Care at McGill University for Black History Month
We collaborated with McGill University to address historical racial marginalization within dental medicine. Our presentation shed light on the challenges faced and highlighted Dan-A-Nou's relentless efforts in advocating for inclusive and accessible dental care. We explored the historical context, current disparities, and the ongoing commitment to breaking down barriers in oral health.
Understanding Dental Caries: A Collaborative Webinar by Dan-A-Nou and Lumière University
On April 29, 2024, Dan-A-Nou, in partnership with supporters in Quebec and Lumière University in Haiti, hosted a successful videoconference with 236 participants. The webinar featured Drs. Christophe Bedos, Christian Fortin, and Bernard Laporte, who discussed the importance of oral health, the causes of dental caries, and both traditional and alternative prevention and treatment methods. The event was well-received, and the organizers plan to address attendees' questions on Facebook.
Dan-A-Nou's Presentation at JDIQ
On Sunday, May 26, 2024, the Quebec Association of Public Health Dentists (ADSPQ) gave the Dan-A-Nou Organization the opportunity to present at the International Dental Days of Quebec (JDIQ). The presentation delved into the motivations behind the creation of Dan-A-Nou and explored innovative, environmentally respectful strategies to combat dental caries, highlighting their commitment to integrating environmental sustainability into their approach.
Black History Month Panel | February 2025 | Quebec
This panel discussion aimed to inspire youth from Black communities to explore careers in dentistry and medicine. Featuring Black health professionals and an academic leader, the event highlighted educational pathways, representation, and the importance of diversity in healthcare.

As the culminating activity of the student pairing project, this interactive videoconference showcased the educational tools developed and enabled meaningful intercultural dialogue between participants in Haiti and Quebec.
Student Pairing Pilot Project | January–April 2025 | Quebec–Haiti
This pilot project connected students from Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe and Université Lumière d’Haïti to co-create oral health educational materials. Quebec students developed the content, while Haitian students ensured cultural relevance. The project fostered intercultural collaboration, digital skill development, and knowledge exchange. Train-the-Trainers Program | November 2025 | Haiti & Online
This training program brought together school leaders, medical students, community partners, and Dan-A-Nou members to strengthen local capacity in oral health education. By training trainers, the initiative supports sustainable and community-led prevention efforts.
School-Based Oral Health Education | 2025 | Haiti
In 2025, Dan-A-Nou delivered oral health education to 350 children aged 6 to 18 in seven schools in Southern Haiti and Grande-Anse. Using culturally adapted videos, posters, and interactive activities, students learned proper oral hygiene and prevention techniques. Toothbrushes and toothpaste were distributed to support daily healthy habits.
International Dental Day Québec | 2025 | Québec
Dan-A-Nou presented the Haitian–Quebec student pairing project to 20 public health dentists from across Québec. The presentation highlighted the project’s objectives and offered a preview of the educational videos and materials developed through the collaboration.
